Mario Ayotte

Bio

Mario Ayotte is the Varsity running backs coach and JV defensive coordinator. This is his first year coaching on staff. Coach Ayotte is a Sutter Alumni, graduating in 2020 and attending junior college while playing football before transferring to Fresno State University. He graduated with honors in History and is now teaching Social Studies at Sutter High School. In addition, he interned under S&C Coach Andy Ward while at Fresno.
Coach Ayotte's playing career at Sutter included accolades such as All State Linebacker, North Section Defensive Player of the Year, MaxPreps/USA football's Player of the Week, as well as All League and All Section nods. During his time at Sutter they won multiple section titles. In Junior college he led the team in tackles his freshman year and was named Team Captain.
Both his parents coached at Sutter High School for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. When not coaching he is spending time reading or going to the movies with his girlfriend, Autumn. His hobbies include spending time with his friends, family, and his dog. He enjoys coaching because it allows him to give back to the community that had such a positive impact on his life.
