Marty Mendieta

Bio

Coach Mendieta brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the game to the field. A graduate of Ygnacio Valley High School ('99), he played two years at Los Médanos College before an injury ended his collegiate career. Undeterred, Coach Mendieta transitioned to coaching in 2002, honing his skills for three years as the Junior Varsity Offensive and Defensive Line coach at Davis Senior High School. After relocating to Yuba City in 2006, he continued coaching Varsity Offensive and Defensive Line at River Valley High School for two seasons. From 2015 to 2023, he dedicated eight years to youth football, coaching his son's teams at RVJF from Mighty Mites through 14u. He currently serves as the Linebacker Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Sutter Union High School Freshmen team.
